Due to popular demand we have added an additional Watercolour Monday on Feb 14. And in honour of Valentine’s Day the focus of this session will be on painting roses with watercolour. The focus will be on a loose, more abstracted approach to make stylized rose forms.

This month’s Watercolour Monday will focus on making fantastical tree trunks using different designs and textures to represent tree bark.

Materials: watercolour pan set or tubes, white gouache, watercolour pad 9 x 12″ (or other watercolour paper you have), #4 and #10 round watercolour brushes, and 2 containers of water, blotting paper and or paper towel, H pencil and eraser

We are pleased to launch our first Watercolour Monday session on December 6. What a better way to end a Monday than with a relaxing watercolour painting session. These session will be offered on either the first or last Monday of each month.

This week’s session will focus painting leaves with watercolour. We will paint from real leaves as well as create imaginary patterned leaves.
Materials needed: set of watercolour paints, watercolour brush #10, watercolour sketchbook (9 x 12″), two containers of water, paper towels, and 3 or 4 leaves.
